TRUTH OR LIES

Coco and Courtney's tight-knit friendship is tested when Courtney's cousin, burdened with deceitful behavior, enters their lives. As they navigate the consequences of her cousin's actions, they must make difficult decisions that challenge their Christian faith. This book explores themes of friendship, integrity, and the power of truth.

THE SHACK

During a visit to Coco's grandparents, the girls stumble upon an old shack in the woods and uncover a group of teens supervised by adults involved in criminal activities. Using their junior detective skills and with the help of a game warden, Coco and Courtney unravel the secrets threatening the town's safety. This book showcases their bravery, persistence, and trust in the Lord.

SUMMER BEACH VACATION

On a summer beach vacation, Coco and Courtney encounter a mysterious pair who are not what they seem. With the help of a newfound friend, they piece together disturbing clues to solve the mystery. This book is a thrilling tale of friendship, suspense, and fun set against a sun-soaked beach paradise.

BULLIES

While on a church youth mission trip, Coco and Courtney face a gang of bullies determined to sabotage their work on a new church building. Through their struggles, they learn the difficult lesson of forgiveness. "Bullies! What Do You Do With Them" challenges readers to respond to adversity with grace and forgiveness, following Jesus' teachings.

Meet the Author & Speaker

Timothy Lawrence

I began writing my first novel in 1994. My wife, Vicki, and I had been given the joy of having an amazing daughter, Courtney. When Courtney was eight years old, her best friend’s name was also Courtney, hence the basis of my first four novels.

I have been in the music ministry and student ministry since 1972. My primary purpose and prayer for publishing my novels are to help young people to know that they have value and purpose, that God cares about them and everything they are involved in. I want them to know that He is that personal. In fact, so personal that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for their sins so that they might experience eternal life and also enjoy a wonderfully rewarding

life while on earth.

I hope young people and their parents will enjoy reading about various adventures and mysteries the two Courtneys experienced. May it be an encouragement to you, as a parent, to remember the serious responsibility we have in raising our children to be Godly, respectful, polite, and helpful to others.

Guiding Our Youth

Since I've been writing "The Courtney's Mysteries and Adventures" series, it's made me do quite a bit of reflection about preteens and teenagers. The four novels challenge the two main characters in various situations. They handle them together and seek out adult guidance when necessary. Our culture seems to have moved in another direction.

Parents, teachers and other leaders in authority in our society don't seem to be challenging preteens and teenagers enough. They need to have normal responsibilities such as cleaning their room, yardwork, taking the trash out, washing the dishes, vacuuming, etc. Having regular jobs assist in creating responsible and dependable students with solid work habits, which in turn will help them in their eventual pursuance into job market. Also, allowing young people to search out how to solve their own problems will increase their self-esteem, self-confidence and self-respect. Obviously, there is balance. The adults who are in those student's lives need to assist whenever necessary but encouraging them to first attempt to handle the situation on their own. As the old adage goes, remember, the youth is tomorrow's future. Let's help them be the best they can be!
